Chris François is a senior with a major within Manchester's Peace Studies Institute who served as President of Amnesty International, Sunrise Manchester University and the International Association for the 2019-2020 academic year. François is also a member of Manchester's Honors Program, and recently defended their thesis which investigated statelessness on their native island of Hispañola. François is also the co-founder of Delice Dental Health Initiative, a non-profit organization based in Haiti which provides sliding-scale dental services to underserved populations around the capital city.
François has also been the recipient of several international awards, including an appointment as Ambassador for Peace by the Universal Peace Federation, a nonprofit in consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations, as well as being named a Schwarzman Scholar, a prestigious international fellowship where they are the very first to be selected from the Republic of Haiti and Manchester University.
François is passionate about addressing healthcare disparities in Hispañola and hopes to one day work on cross-border health policy for the island.
